I sit here and can’t help but think of all who came before me and will come after I am long gone. Cape Spear, NL is a part of our Parks Canada and is a Historical site, as noted in the link above.
The views from here of the ocean and landscape around St. John’s are spectacular, even for locals. I come here as much as I can to absorb the feeling of the place’s history and the scenery. Every time, I find something new to see!
Hearing the crash of the waves hitting the rocky shore is so very peaceful! Even the sounds of the birds, and watching them dive into the Ocean, is also very therapeutic for me. The Whales have moved on now, but earlier this summer this is also a great place to watch them cavort around!
Looking at these views, you can understand why this place was so helpful to my mental health and the healing I have done from being cyberbullied by past tenants from the workplace in Ontario for the past 8 years in the dedicated domains they created. Places like this help remind me how small this mess is compared to my lifetime.
Hubby and I came here on Saturday, August 24, 2024, while we went on the St. John’s Hop On Hop Off Bus Tour. We played tourists for 2 days and explored our City that I love so much!
You can see Cabot Tower atop Signal Hill from across the Ocean. You have to admit, our landscape is unique and draws a big crowd of Tourists every year!
I hope you enjoy the pictures I took of our visit!
Hi, Lorrie, I haven’t seen you in a while! I hope all is well. Love the post! 🌺🩷
Morning Kymber!! I love Newfoundland and Labrador, as you can tell.
All is fantastic here, still recovering my strength in my legs from the spine surgery, enjoying the awesome summer weather we are having, and preparing for a trip I am taking next month to the Mainland to visit some people’s. I never thought I would leave the Island again, but a it was a opportunity I couldn’t pass. I seem to have lost some of my incentive to write about negative stuff but I will find my way once again.
I hope all is well with you too!
