Do You Believe in Karma?

YES, I DO!!! I always have.

I’ve been thinking about karma since last week.

Since the websites containing my name started disappearing from the internet in 2025, along with other websites that had been created about other people, I stopped looking for anything to do with them. I still search my own name once in a while — I don’t think that habit will ever completely stop — but I do it much less than I used to. I had finally moved on, learning new things.

Then, last week, a video showed up in my YouTube feed. The video simply appeared, and I clicked on it. What I saw and read brought karma to mind immediately.

After everything I went through with the adults who spent years cyberbullying me, seeing what they were now describing about their own lives made me stop and think about how life sometimes has a strange way of coming full circle. In all honesty, reading that “story” gave me peace. I am human after all!

According to the story I found, the father and his son were describing how they ended up homeless in Dominica after the man’s wife left and, according to their account, stopped providing money for their rent. As a Canadian, he can’t work there. They said they were determined to remain there, even without a home, and they blamed social services for not helping them.

What caught my attention wasn’t simply their situation, though I doubt everything they shared was true. It was the pattern I saw in the story.

As I read through the timeline, I noticed something: the tendency to focus on what other people supposedly did wrong while overlooking the choices that may have contributed to where they ended up. Everything was about blaming others, just as I saw from them in the past. They haven’t changed, not one bit.

The video is no longer on YouTube; I was able to find the material through the Wayback Machine, where it was presented in connection with a political party they were trying to establish in Dominica. I’ll leave the archived link below for anyone who wants to read it for themselves.

And as I read it, I kept thinking, I’ve seen this pattern before.  I also came across a video showing a Canadian passport being burned. At that point, I just shook my head. I will never understand that.

For me, karma is about consequences. They come for everyone at one point, even me.

Funny enough, I wasn’t even looking for this story. It found me. And when I saw it, the first word that came to my mind was karma.

Isn’t it funny how life works out sometimes?
