“No Place Like Home” speaks to me in a way that feels personal, almost like the songwriter reached into the heart of what it means to belong to Newfoundland and Labrador. When I listen to it, I hear my own story woven through the melody. It is an older song, but still pertinent today.

What the Song Brings Forward for Me

• I feel the truth of coming home, even after life has taken me through storms I never expected. Newfoundland has always been the place that steadies me. I, too, left home when I was young, searching for something on the Mainland, but my love for this place brought me back after 20+ years.
