Stop Cyberbullying Day: My Thoughts and Reflections

Today is Stop Cyberbullying Day, and I feel compelled to share some of my personal thoughts and experiences. I know firsthand how damaging words on a screen can be. Over the years, I’ve faced my share of online negativity, and it’s left scars that sometimes still ache. I’ve learned that healing from complex trauma isn’t a straight path—it’s a winding road, full of ups and downs.

I often reflect on how easy it is for people to forget there’s a real person on the other side of the screen. When I see cruel comments or targeted harassment, I’m reminded of my own journey and how important it is to stand up against this behaviour. I want to use my voice to encourage others to be kinder, both to themselves and to those they interact with online.

For me, Stop Cyberbullying Day is a chance to pause and think about the impact our words can have. I believe in the power of empathy and understanding. I try to approach every interaction with compassion, even when it’s hard. Sometimes, I need to step back and remind myself that not every comment deserves my energy or response.

I find strength in sharing my story and connecting with others who have gone through similar experiences. It helps me heal, and I hope it helps others, too. Today, I invite you to join me in making a conscious effort to spread positivity online. Let’s choose to support each other, lift each other, and remember that we all deserve respect and kindness.

If you’re struggling, please know you’re not alone. I see you, and I stand with you. Together, we can make the internet a safer, more compassionate place for everyone.
