We Are Moving
Tomorrow is the day! Thankfully, it isn’t far from our current place, so I still get to stay in the neighbourhood I am comfortable in. After weeks of sorting, packing, planning, and catching my breath in between, it’s finally here.
I can feel the mix of emotions sitting in my chest — excitement for what’s ahead, and a bit of nervous energy that always shows up when life shifts in a real way. This will be a big change for us, especially for me, but I am excited!
This move isn’t just about changing homes. It’s about stepping into a space that fits where I am now — a place that offers stability, ease, room to breathe, and no stairs! I’ve moved enough times in my life to know the difference between running from something and moving toward something. This time, it’s the latter.
There’s a quiet pride in that. This is something we choose at the stage we are now in our lives.
I’m tired, yes — anyone would be after packing up a life piece by piece — but underneath the fatigue is something steadier. A sense of alignment. A sense of choosing what supports me instead of what drains me. A sense of building a home that reflects who I’ve become, not who I had to be.
Tomorrow we turn the key on a new chapter. Tonight, I’m letting myself feel all of it — the excitement, the nerves, the relief, the hope.
Another fresh start is waiting on the other side of one more sleep.
I’ll Be Offline For a Bit
I am dismantling my desktop later today, so I will be offline for a couple of days till I get it set up in the new place. I’ll catch up on all your posts when I return!
Until then, happy writing and enjoy your weekend!
