The Royal St. John's Regatta
Reading Time: 2 minutes

It is time for the Royal St. John’s Regatta!

Tomorrow is the day, weather permitting!

It is a day filled with large crowds of people, boat races, entertainment, and playing games!

I have an appointment in the AM to get my bloodwork done and then hubby and I are heading to Quidi Vidi Lake for the Annual Regatta! Going to spend a few hours checking out the races and all the entertainment, even playing a few games!

I have looked forward to this Event every year since I came back home to NL. It is exciting to go to actually, even though I am not a fan of such large crowds it brings. I manage, as I can find a spot at times to sit and relax for a bit, away from the crowds. I will always find a way to enjoy the things I want to do!!

I like playing the many games set up in the Stalls around the Lake and even watching others play and of course, I watch the races on the Lake! It is an exciting event here in this Province.

Below, is a list of race starters, listed by Race # and as you can see there is quite a list, even the Prime Minister of Canada will be here. They get the pleasure of starting the races they are assigned to.

There is a link below to the Royal Regatta Website where you can find out the history of this Annual Event here in St. John’s NL. It has been here since 1818, making it the oldest sporting event in North America!
