The Message That Revealed Everything: My Turning Point From March 2021
There are moments in life when you find yourself staring at a screen, reading words that are designed specifically to destabilize you, to make you question your own reality, and to pull you back into a cycle of pain that someone else has deliberately constructed. On March 1, 2021, I experienced one of those moments. An email arrived in my inbox — unsolicited, calculated, and dripping with the kind of manipulative intent that only those who have experienced true psychological bullying can recognize on sight.
Understanding the Anatomy of Gaslighting
Before I share the details of what happened, let me paint a picture for those who may not be familiar with gaslighting — that insidious psychological tactic used by narcissists and toxic individuals to make their victims doubt their own perceptions, memories, and sanity.
Gaslighting is not accidental. It is not a misunderstanding. It is a deliberate, calculated strategy employed by individuals who need to maintain power and control over others. It comes dressed in the clothing of concern, of superior knowledge, of false intimacy — as though the person wielding it knows you better than you know yourself.
That is precisely what this email was.
The individual I will refer to as the Toxic Adult Bully — a person who, along with their partner, has spent the better part of nine years constructing a digital monument to their hatred of me — sent me a message designed to accomplish several things simultaneously:
- To gloat over perceived victories and personal accomplishments, weaponizing them as tools of superiority
- To bait an emotional response that could then be harvested for new content on their malicious websites
- To project their own behaviours onto me, accusing me of the very things they themselves have been doing relentlessly
- To gaslight me into believing that I am the aggressor, the racist, the hateful one, while they position themselves as innocent victims
And the most remarkable, almost breathtaking part of it all? They did this with a straight face. They wrote those words without a single moment of self-reflection about the websites they maintained in my name, the false allegations they have spread across the internet, and the years of psychological torment they have inflicted upon my family and me.
The Email: Projection Dressed as Truth
Let me address the specific language used in this email, because it is a masterclass in narcissistic manipulation and it deserves to be examined with clear, unflinching eyes.
“The best part about it is that you have done nothing but spew your hatred for our family with your racist and ignorant lies and deliberate attempts to portray our family as being nothing but a bunch of pitiful individuals for the past five years.”
Read that sentence carefully. Absorb it. Now consider this: these are the same individuals who operated websites bearing my full name — Stella Reddy — for years. Websites filled with false allegations, personal attacks, and deliberate attempts to destroy my reputation, my mental health, and my relationships. Websites that were not created by me, but about me, without my consent, and without a single shred of credible evidence to support their claims.
The audacity of accusing me of doing precisely what they have been doing to me for years is not just ironic — it is a textbook example of psychological projection. When a narcissist cannot face the ugliness of their own behaviour, they assign it to someone else. They take their own sins, wrap them in your name, and hand them back to you as though they belong to you.
They do not belong to me. I refuse to carry them.
“You Know Nothing About Our Family”
Another line from the email that deserves careful examination:
“It is clear that once again, you have proven that you know nothing about our family, and that you have never known anything about our family.”
Here is the beautiful, simple truth embedded in this accusation: they are absolutely right. I do not know their family. I never claimed to. They were tenants. Not friends. Not confidants. Not family. Not even acquaintances in any meaningful sense of the word. They were people who occupied a rental unit, and when our professional relationship ended — as all tenant-landlord relationships eventually do — they chose to transform a legal dispute into a years-long campaign of personal destruction.
But here is where their logic collapses entirely under its own weight: if I know nothing about their family, then they know nothing about mine. And yet, this did not stop them from making sweeping, damaging, and utterly false claims about me and my family members — my character, my motivations, my beliefs, and my alleged racism — across multiple public platforms, for years, without evidence.
You cannot simultaneously claim that someone knows nothing about you while also claiming to be an expert on who they are, what they believe, and what drives their every action. That is not logic. That is narcissism.
The Mind-Reading Narcissist
Perhaps the most revealing aspect of this email is the breathtaking confidence with which the Toxic Adult Bully claims to know my innermost thoughts and motivations:
“You assumed because A was black that she was not a good enough mother to provide a home for such a smart and gifted daughter. You also believe that because I spent most of my time at home with our children, I was a horrible father who was not a role model for our children.”
Let me be extraordinarily clear: no one can know what another person assumes or believes unless that person has explicitly stated it. The Toxic Adult Bully is not a mind reader. He does not have access to my thoughts, my beliefs, or my motivations. What he has done here is construct a narrative — a fiction — and then presented it as fact, as though the sheer confidence of his delivery makes it true.
This is one of the most dangerous tools in the narcissist’s arsenal: the ability to state fabrications with such conviction that others begin to believe them, and — most devastatingly — the target themselves begins to doubt their own reality.
I am here to tell you: I know my own mind. I know my own heart. And no amount of confident, aggressive fiction-writing changes the truth of who I am.
Why Did He Send This Email? The Real Motivation
When I step back and look at this email with the clarity that time and healing have given me, the motivation becomes transparently obvious.
The Toxic Adult Bully sent this email because he was frustrated. Because his campaign against me had reached a plateau. Because he needed fresh material — new emotional reactions, new responses, new content to feed the hungry machine of his malicious online presence. The newer content of stellareddy.com showed me that! They were upset that I left Ontario, and I had been ignoring them since the Hearing in January 2020.
He sent it to bait me. To trigger a response that he could then screenshot, twist, reframe, and publish on his websites as further “evidence” of my instability, my hatred, and my racism.
And here is the part that I am not ashamed to admit: it worked at the time. My response was creating my own domain in April 2021, also in my name, though the content has changed since.
What began as an act of defence became the first act of reclamation. Every word I wrote, every page I built, every truth I documented was a step away from their narrative and toward my own. The website they mocked became the mirror that reflected their hypocrisy back at them — and the window through which I began to see myself clearly again.
That clarity didn’t arrive all at once. It came slowly, like dawn breaking over the Atlantic — light creeping in where darkness had lived too long. It came through reflection, through education, through the quiet realization that I no longer needed to prove my worth to people committed to misunderstanding me.
They thought they had silenced me. Instead, they gave me the reason to speak.
Discovering My Own Strength
In the months that followed that email, something shifted inside me. Something fundamental and irreversible. I discovered that I am stronger than I ever knew I was.
Yes, I experienced emotional dissonance. Yes, there were moments of doubt, of pain, of the kind of exhaustion that comes from fighting a battle that never seems to end. But I also discovered something extraordinary: I could carry that weight. I could feel the discomfort of being publicly exposed, of having my name attached to narratives I did not write and did not choose — and I could survive it. More than survive it. I could use it.
I created my own platform. My own space. My own voice, using everything they did to me to educate myself, and hopefully others, on the many traits I was learning about by using their words. Their actions. Even my own.
And unlike the Toxic Adult Bully’s websites — which are built on fabrications, false allegations, and the deliberate destruction of another person’s reputation — my platform is built on truth. On my lived experience. On the documented reality of what has been done to me and how I have chosen to respond.
QUID PRO QUO: The Reclamation of Fairness
There is a principle that has become my guiding light through this experience, and I want to share it with you not as a declaration of revenge, but as a declaration of equity.
Quid pro quo. This for that. Equal exchange.
For years, I watched as the Toxic Adult Bully exercised what he clearly believed was his exclusive right to share his version of events publicly, to name me, to describe me, to define me — all without my consent and all without accountability. He operated under the assumption that his voice was the only voice that mattered. That his narrative was the only narrative that existed.
He was wrong.
There are always two sides to every story. There are always two perspectives, two sets of experiences, two truths that exist simultaneously within any conflict. The Toxic Adult Bully spent years ensuring that only his side was visible, searchable, and accessible to anyone who typed my name into a search engine. They even said it was what they were doing.
I am changing that. Not out of hatred. Not out of a desire for revenge. But out of a profound, unshakeable belief in fairness — in the fundamental human right to have your own story told in your own words.
My domain exists so that when someone searches my name, they find not just the carefully constructed fiction of a toxic bully, but also my truth. My voice. My perspective. My humanity.
That is not hatred. That is justice.
Accountability: The One Thing Toxic Bullies Cannot Face
One of the most consistent and revealing characteristics of the Toxic Adult Bully in my life — and in the lives of so many others who have dealt with narcissistic personalities — is a complete and total inability to accept accountability.
They can write thousands of words about my alleged failures, my supposed racism, my imagined hatred. They can maintain websites, send emails, and construct elaborate narratives about who I am and what I have done. But ask them to look honestly at their own behaviour — at the domains they registered in my name, at the false allegations they published without evidence, at the years of psychological torment they have inflicted — and they become suddenly, conveniently blind.
This is not an accident. Accountability is kryptonite to a narcissist. It requires the kind of honest self-reflection that their psychological architecture simply cannot support. To acknowledge wrongdoing would be to crack the carefully constructed image of themselves as victims, as righteous crusaders, as the innocent parties in a conflict entirely of their own making.
And so they project. They gaslight. They deflect. They accuse others of the very behaviours they themselves are engaged in, hoping that the noise and confusion will be enough to keep everyone — including themselves — from looking too closely at the truth.
But the truth has a way of persisting. It has a way of outlasting the noise.
What Nine Years of Being a Target Has Taught Me
I will not pretend that this journey has been anything other than extraordinarily painful. Nine years of having your name attached to false allegations. Nine years of watching someone construct a digital version of you that bears no resemblance to who you actually are. Nine years of fighting for your reputation, your mental health, your sense of self — against people who have made your destruction their hobby, their project, their purpose.
But within that pain, I have found gifts I never expected.
I have found clarity — about who I am, what I stand for, and what I will and will not accept from the people in my life.
I have found courage — the kind that is forged not in the absence of fear, but in the decision to move forward despite it.
I have found community — other survivors of narcissistic abuse and toxic bullying who have reminded me that I am not alone, that my experience is not unique, and that there is a vast, resilient community of people who understand exactly what it means to be targeted by someone who has decided that your destruction is their right.
And perhaps most importantly, I have found myself — the version of me who existed beneath all the noise and the pain and the false narratives. The woman who is stronger than she knew. The woman who has decided, with full clarity and absolute conviction, that her story will be told — in her own words, on her own terms, for as long as she chooses to tell it.
The Inspiring Truth About Survival
Here is what I want you to take away from everything I have shared today:
Toxic people are powerful, but they are not invincible. Gaslighting is disorienting, but it cannot permanently obscure the truth. Narcissists are relentless, but resilience is more powerful than relentlessness.
You are more than what your bully says you are. You are more than the narrative they have constructed about you. You are more than the pain they have caused you.

Subject: D-Generation X – SUCK IT!!!
A and I just wanted to share these two remarkable letters that
K received over the past few weeks. As you can see, they are
letters of acceptance for her to attend medical school after graduating from
high school this year.
Yes, you did read that correctly. K will be attending Medical
School without having to go to university. As you are not very educated
yourself. The usual process is that one must attend university and obtain an
undergrad degree before applying to a medical school.
The best part about it is that you have done nothing but spew your hatred
for our family with your racist and ignorant lies and deliberate attempts to
portray our family as being nothing but a bunch of pitiful individuals for
the past five years.
On endless occasions, you have referenced our children and ourselves in your
hatred and racist comments on your websites/blogs as lazy bums, who lie,
have no ambition. You have endlessly criticized and insulted our children
and our parenting skills.
Unlike your failure of a child. Our daughter will be attending medical
school this coming September 2021, straight out of high school.
It is clear that once again, you have proven that you know nothing about our
family, and that you have never known anything about our family.
You assumed because A was black that she was not a good enough mother
to provide a home for such a smart and gifted daughter. You also believe
that because I spent most of my time at home with our children, I was a
horrible father who was not a role model for our children.
Well, Stella, it appears you could not have been any more WRONG!!!
From this point on, if you choose to reference K, we all would
appreciate that you referenced her as Dr., something that you and your
failure of a child would never achieve. With that said, you can now go back
to your life of being a Pot Head every day, crying about how the world has
done you so wrong, and continue on with your imaginary PTSD so you can
continue to live off us, the taxpayers.
Because as it goes, we have one more child to get into medical school in 6
years! When E gets acepted in also, I will certainly be the first to let
you know. Why? Because nothing brings me more joy than rubbing this in your
racist, bearded pig face. Because you need to understand that black people
can be successful and educated.
Our work as failure parents has obviously paid off for Kn. We are
just glad that we were not as big of a failure as you were for your
children.
So you can now continue to hide in Newfoundland with all your racist friends
and family, and hopefully Covid-19 will find you, because you are a
disgusting Donald Trump supporter who can not stand the idea that a Black
person is more successful and makes far more money than you ever have.
I can only imagine how pissed off you must be to see the “Mulatto”
Kn being more successful at 17 than you or our family have ever
been. It has to burn you inside.
So in the words of D-Generation X – SUCK IT!!!
