Poster: I Am Not A Victim
I am not a victim.
No matter what I have been through,
I’m still here. I may have been challenged,
hurt, betrayed, beaten, and discouraged,
but nothing has defeated me. I am still here.
I have been delayed, but not denied.
I am not a victim, I am a victor.
I have a history of victory.
There’s a quiet power in realizing that survival itself is a form of victory. Every scar, every delay, every disappointment becomes part of the proof that I’ve endured. I’ve been tested by life — by loss, by betrayal, by the long stretches of uncertainty that make strength feel far away — yet I remain. Still standing. Still breathing. Still choosing to rise.
Being “not a victim” isn’t about denying pain; it’s about refusing to let pain define the whole story. It’s about seeing the bruises and the lessons side by side, and knowing that both shaped the person I’ve become. I’ve been delayed, but never denied. I’ve been bent, but never broken. Each time I thought I’d reached the end, I found another beginning waiting quietly beneath the rubble.
I am not a victim. I am a victor — not because life has been easy, but because I’ve met it fully. I carry a history of victory in every healed wound, every broken bone, every boundary honored, every truth reclaimed. And that history keeps unfolding, one steady breath at a time.
As we head into the weekend, I will share these words with you. I truly believe we all have the strength to remain still standing. Still breathing. Still choose to rise. No matter what life wants to throw at us. Don’t you?
No matter where you are, I hope you find a reason to rise.
