Poem: Healing in My Own Words

Reading Time: < 1 minute

I found my peace where sea and sky align,
In Newfoundland’s arms, this healing is mine.
I’ve weathered the storms of spite and deceit,
Yet stood with resolve, refusing defeat.

They hurled their words, they twisted my name,
But I chose compassion over playing their game.
I faced down the gaslight, I quieted the noise,
And built my truth with unwavering voice.

I walk among puffins, I marvel at whales,
In nature’s sweet rhythm, my soul exhales.
My voice, once shaky, now sings out proud,
With hope in my heart, no longer cowed.

I won’t let their cruelty define me now,
I rewrite my story—I show them how.
Through mindful intent and posters of grace,
I’ve shaped a life I proudly embrace.

This is my journey, my rising anew—
I live with compassion and speak what’s true.
Let waves carry whispers of light from this place,
As I claim my strength and reclaim my space.

There is a issue with subscribing to my site through wordpress so I installed a easy plugin for subscribers instead that you can use.

Yes, it takes a log of strength to get past certain experiences but I have learned one thing over the years: it is amazing what we, as humans, can endure when we have the determination to do so.
I found my strength and I know you can too!

  4. Thanks for notifying me. Its seems my settings disable likes and comments on posts after a while. I’ll see about changing it
