Hollywood Actor Josh Hartnett has been named as the lead of a new Netflix limited series filming in Newfoundland and Labrador.

The star of Pearl Harbor and Oppenheimer has signed on for a new limited TV series, where he’ll play a fisherman battling a mysterious sea creature that terrorizes his remote coastal town.

Hartnett is also the executive producer of the show. Details about the title and release date are not yet released, but production is expected to begin in Newfoundland and Labrador later this year.

The project adds to the list of high-profile film and TV productions which have chosen Newfoundland and Labrador as a locale.

  1. Thank you, all is great here. I am heading out today with my hubby on the Atlantic Ocean, hoping to see some whales. I hope all is well in your world too!
Its exciting to know so many movies and TV shows are showcasing NL scenery these days.

  2. Hubby and I had a great day on Sunday and yes, we saw some humpback whales and a lot of noisy Seabirds on Gull Island, just off Bay Bulls, a small community a half hour outside St. John’s. Have you ever seen a Puffin? I’ll share some pics today in a post. Sending love back to you, Linda! Hope yours days are gentle and easy for you!
