Humpback Whales & Orcas Off the Coast of Newfoundland & Labrador, Canada!

Reading Time: 3 minutes

I love my hubby’s camera! He uses a Canon Rebel and it takes awesome photos! He has some fantastic lenses as well that can get really close. Zooming in on these pictures is easy too, which is what I did with some of the pictures below of the Humpback Whales and Orcas we saw from the Coast on Cape Spear, Thursday, July 10, 2025.

I have seen many Minke and Humpbacks in my lifetime on the Island, even a couple of Dolphins, but it’s my first time seeing Orcas in the wild here. I have heard of others seeing them in recent years, but it is my first and I can tell you I was some excited!

As you’ve seen, Whale Watching is a favourite from Cape Spear, Newfoundland! Hubby and I spent 4 hours roaming this rugged landscape on Thursday, doing our own Whale Watching! It was awesome.

I hope you enjoy these pictures!
