It’s been quite the whirlwind these past few weeks! We’ve had some intense weather here recently, as highlighted by the screenshot from NTV Webcam taken Friday, February 21, 2025. We received another 20 cm of snow…The City shut down early too!
I noticed this morning that Newfoundland and Labrador is expected to get some rain on Wednesday, 20-25 mm, hopefully enough to wash away all the recent snowfall. You’ve got to love the unpredictable weather we experience here!
March is nearly upon us! Come on Spring!
I can hardly wait for the day I can go outside and walk around without piles of snow getting in my way!
I’ve been under the weather myself, really sick for the past three weeks. It’s been the first time in many years that I’ve felt this ill. I even spent a few days in bed, which was quite unusual for me. This flu has been relentless…
I caught the virus that’s been making its rounds on the Island, complete with aches, a stuffy head, and awful chest congestion. Over the weekend, I got stomach sick as well and still haven’t fully recovered from that. On the bright side, I’ve lost another 13 pounds due to this bug, which is a small silver lining. 🙂 (Always find something positive)
As a result, I haven’t been very active, mostly just watching TV. Honestly, I don’t mind it too much; it’s nice to rest and relax. I did venture out last Wednesday, which in hindsight was a mistake, as it left me feeling even more exhausted and unwell. I wouldn’t wish this illness on anyone. Thankfully, I’m feeling better today!
This winter has been physically hard for me. While I’ve gone out and walked in the snow many times since moving back, this winter has been more tiring and difficult to navigate, even though we had less snow than usual. Consequently, I’ve stayed home more often. I can’t afford another fall either, so I have a plan…
I know that many people around the world use vehicles modified for disabilities, and I’m considering getting one modified for myself to drive. I am doing some research… Yes, I am determined! By the end of March I will have a car… It is a need now, not just a want, as I can’t stay home, it drives me batty… lol
If you have any ideas on vehicle modifications for people with spinal stenosis, please let me know!
Right now I am off to watch videos and rest some more to get rid of this flu. I hope you all have a fantastic week!
