2025 Canada Summer Games

This is the Summer St. John’s, NL comes alive! St. John’s has been building up for the Summer Games all year, and now it is finally here!

There’s something magical about watching people chase their dreams—and this August, that magic will fill the air in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. The 2025 Canada Summer Games are coming home to our province from August 8–25, and with them, a wave of inspiration, resilience, and community spirit.

Over 4,000 young athletes from across Canada will gather here to compete in 19 sports, each one bringing their own story of perseverance and hope. From the debut of women’s baseball to the inclusion of para-sport and Special Olympics events, these Games are a celebration of diversity, strength, and unity.

As someone who’s walked a path of healing and growth, I find deep meaning in events like this. They remind us that progress isn’t always linear, but it’s always worth it. Whether you’re cheering from the stands or simply soaking in the energy around town, the Games offer a chance to reconnect with the joy of movement, the power of community, and the beauty of believing in yourself.

I’ll be watching with pride as our city welcomes the nation. And maybe, just maybe, I’ll find a new favourite moment to carry with me—like a melody that lifts the spirit or a sunset that reminds me I’m exactly where I need to be.
