Now I Write From Wisdom

What Healing Looks Like After Gaslighting

Back in August 2024, I was still writing about gaslighting from the inside of the nightmare. I was trying to understand why the tenants were still after me, to the point where they moved stellareddy.com to a free-speech host to keep their narratives online. Gaslighters Try To Ruin Your Self-Esteem.

I was still untangling the lies, still trying to understand how people could twist reality so far out of shape from the truth, still fighting to hold on to my own sense of self. That post came from a place of urgency — the kind of urgency you feel when someone has tried to erase you, and you’re determined not to disappear.

But healing has a way of changing your voice.

Today, I write from a very different place.

I no longer feel the need to defend my reality. I no longer feel the pull to explain myself to people who were never listening anyway. What once felt like a battle for my identity has become a quiet certainty.

It was the last post they shared, https://stellareddy.com/fabricateidentities on February 2025, that did it for me. This post was after the Police went to see them and was the last one they shared before the site was take by someone else.

The passage alleges that I repeatedly contacted them through numerous email addresses, implying obsessive and unstable behavior. It claims I fabricated identities to continue communication after being blocked and portrays me as narcissistic and mentally unwell. The writer further accuses me of racism and bullying, asserting I evicted then unjustly and was later fired and forced to move back to Newfoundland. The text concludes by framing my current life as “karma” for my past actions.

This piece uses emotionally charged and accusatory language, not objective evidence. It is part of their smear campaign, aiming to publicly humiliate and misrepresent my character and history. The tone is vindictive, not factual or balanced.

This post woke me up to the fact that there was nothing I could do about their behaviour, but I could do something about mine.

Stella Reddy thinks this is normal behavior!

Here is a list of 47 email addresses from which Stella Reddy has contacted our family over the years. Her persistent attempts to reach us reveal a troubling pattern of instability. When her emails are blocked, rather than accepting the boundary and moving on, she creates new, fictitious email addresses to continue her intrusion.

Stella reddy’s behavior clealry demonstrates a deeply unstable personality. Stella Reddy doesn’t just try to contact us; she goes to extreme lengths to pretend to be different individuals. He deep need to try and establish contact, coupled with her ability to fabricate identities, highlights her erratic and narcissistic tendencies. Stella Reddy’s actions are a clear sign of someone who is unstable but needs serous medical attention.

As stalker Stella continues to try and make contact with the family after posting this page, is clear evidenced by her latest message, clearly highlights her desperation. She tried to deceive them by directing them to click on a suspicious link to read an email. The fact that Stella Reddy believed anyone would blindly click such a link underscores her increasing instability. Despite this, her husband has consistently failed to intervene or address her behavior over the years.

And this is a daily occurrence, revealing just a small fraction of Stella Reddy’s madness. It shows that while she is quick to bully others, she cannot handle being bullied herself and now feels powerless to stop it. As an unstable narcissist, Stella Reddy resorts to playing the victim through an imaginary third party. This is the kind of erratic behavior she has exhibited for years!

So when you deliberately go out of your way to evict a family with young children for no reason other than a Black woman standing her ground and challenging you over a simple rent issue, this is what you get. From the beginning, the racist and unstable Stella Reddy thought she could bully a racialized female. And when the female and her husband stood their ground and challenged her behaviour, she got her equally racist bosses, to eventually evict them.

The irony is that when the family finally moved, Stella Reddy was immediately fired and had no choice but to run back to Newfoundland because she couldn’t make it in the big city.

There’s a saying: one should be careful what you put out into the universe because you get back what you put out. Eight years later, the racist and bully Stella Reddy and her enabler husband are sitting in their basement apartment, regretting the whole situation. This is why Stella Reddy continues to send these types of emails, begging for communication with the family. So sad, so very sad, but that’s karma for you!”

Over the years, I’ve learned that gaslighting isn’t just about lies — it’s about power. It’s about someone trying to convince you that you can’t trust your own mind. It is about making claims like this above, even without evidence, as they hope you will drive yourself nuts trying to disprove them, not just to them but to yourself. That is the rolloercoaster I spoke of early in my writing. I had to get off…

The moment you step out of that environment, and the moment the noise in your head stops — something incredible happens. You start to hear your own voice again.

And that’s where my real growth began.

I stopped writing to prove anything. I started writing to understand myself. I started writing to reclaim the parts of me that had been buried under years of distortion.

I came to understand that the woman who wrote that original post was strong — stronger than she knew — but she was still carrying the residue of other people’s behaviour. She was still trying to make sense of actions that never made sense. She was still trying to understand why anyone would go to such lengths to tear down another human being.

The woman writing this now doesn’t ask those questions anymore, as I learned how to get off that rollercoaster just by remembering who I was.

I’ve learned that some people behave the way they do because of who they are, not because of who I am. Their accusations were never a reflection of my character. Their narratives were never the truth — just noise.

And once I stopped trying to decode their behaviour, I finally had space to understand my own.

I’ve grown into someone who trusts her instincts. Someone who stands firmly in her own story. Someone who no longer shrinks to make others comfortable. Someone who knows that clarity is not something you fight for — it’s something you grow into.

Moving to Newfoundland helped with that. The quiet. The space. The sense of home. The ability to breathe again without feeling watched or judged or rewritten. Yes, karma was good to me after leaving that mess in Ontario! I found myself again, and I will forever be grateful for that.

Gaslighting tried to break my self-esteem, but it didn’t succeed. If anything, it forced me to rebuild myself stronger, clearer, and more grounded than before.

I no longer write from the wound. I write from the wisdom.

And that is the difference.
