Some Scenery of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada

St. John's, NL
Reading Time: 2 minutes

I found these beautiful pictures this morning on Social Media and thought I’d share them so you can see some places in Newfoundland and Labrador, where I now live. I live in awe of this place, every day.

The scenery here in NL has played a big part in my mental health recovery, how can you be depressed, sad, and scared while living here, surrounded by all this? I can’t.

The people who took these awesome pictures, whom I share in the captions, and who took the time to share them, have helped me in indescribable ways over the past 4 years. They all have my gratitude.

The picture above was shared by an anonymous person and it captures the East End of St. John’s, looking out towards the Atlantic Ocean. The water you see in the foreground is Quidi Vidi Lake which goes into Quidi Vidi Gut and leads out to the Atlantic Ocean as well. It is a beautiful picture.

The last picture below is of Corner Brook, NL where I grew up. I spent 18 years there until I moved to St. John’s. It is a beautiful City and I miss the scenery there too at times, especially from Captain Cook’s Lookout!

When I left for the Mainland in 1999 I always knew I would come back home, it is where I am meant to be, living amongst all of Mother Nature that can be found here. It is a beautiful place to live and I understand completely why people are drawn to this Island.
