Hosting Hiccups & Catching Up
Well, that was a first! Yesterday, my hosting provider had a bit of a meltdown—a power outage at their data centers—and it knocked my site offline for a few hours. It was frustrating, especially since I had planned to share my thoughts on the amazing concert I went to Tuesday night. By the time everything was back up, the day had run away from me. Thankfully, it’s all sorted now and running smoothly again! I survived!
A Night of Nostalgia: 54-40 & Foreigner
What a night! Tuesday’s concert was absolutely incredible. My hubby and I spent the evening soaking in the sounds of 54-40 and Foreigner, and it was pure nostalgia from start to finish. The energy, the crowd, the music—it was everything we hoped for and more. Sure, it made for a late night on a weekday, but totally worth it! It wasn’t me who had to get up at 5 am to go to work, I slept in, actually!
There’s just something magical about live music, isn’t there? The venue was packed, sold out, and buzzing with excitement. I managed to capture a few moments and uploaded them to my Stella Reddy – YouTube—feel free to check them out!
Office Shuffle & Back Twinges
Last weekend was all about change—hubby helped me rearrange my office space, and I finally got everything cleaned, shifted, and refreshed. I even moved my desk to a new spot for a different view, which feels great!
But… in the process, I managed to pull my lower back. Ugh. If you’ve ever dealt with back issues, you know how even the smallest movement can set things off. So I’ve been taking it easy this week, resting as much as I can, and letting it settle. It’s annoying, but I know it’ll pass; it usually does. The massager helps…
YouTube Rabbit Holes & Cozy Plans
Have you ever found yourself completely immersed in YouTube, hiding away from the news? That’s been my vibe this week—just letting myself drift from one video to the next. It’s amazing how quickly time slips away when you’re caught up in watching everything from music clips and true crime to random life hacks. Sometimes, it’s exactly the kind of escape I need.
I’ve been avoiding the news out of the US as much as possible this week, as it makes me feel too much angst. I find the news there scary, especially the ICE videos online, and I feel so much empathy for all the people being affected.
I have faith in our Prime Minister in knowing Canada will make it through this crazy time, and in my fellow Canadians. While some might like the US antics, most Canadians do not. I feel very far away from the mess of the World here on this little Island on the Coast of Canada, and avoiding reading about it for a time is good for my mental health!
A Quiet Weekend Ahead
Can you believe it’s almost Friday again? The weeks are flying by lately. The forecast here in NL isn’t looking too promising, so I’m planning for a quiet weekend indoors. A few good movies, maybe some snacks, and just letting the world slow down for a bit. Sounds perfect to me. It’s a great way to end off this relaxing week!
Thanks for being here through all the little ups and downs. Life has its twists, but I’m learning to lean into the flow and take things as they come.
