Happy Friday!

It’s supposed to rain here in St. John’s off and on all weekend, with high winds, so hubby and I plan on a quiet weekend at home, catching up on some TV shows and watching some movies. I am looking forward to it! I’ve been going so much, my body is looking forward to a break. After the grocery store run later today to stock up on some things, I am taking it easy this weekend!

The Churchill Park Music Festival is starting here tonight at 5:00 pm NST and runs till the 29th, and as we live close by, we might go outside in the backyard with the chairs and listen. We can usually hear the music over here… This is held in a big open space by Churchill Square, and it is standing only, which is not good for me. I can’t see myself standing around a packed Park, getting jostled by people around me.

Not my idea of fun, which is why I haven’t gone. I missed seeing Matchbox Twenty when they were here a couple of years ago, and Daughtry was here last year, both of which I would have loved to see. I have to make sacrifices sometimes due to my disabilities and body pain. I’ve seen some of these groups over the years, mostly while we lived in Ontario.

I like the George Street Music Festival better as the space is smaller and there are places to sit, as long as you are there early enough to grab one, which we plan to do! 😀  I am excited for August 1! Hubby found another thing that Newfoundland has that made him all excited: North Atlantic Zip Lines! I haven’t seen him this excited over something in a while, so he is planning on doing this when he is off in a couple of weeks. I wish I could go with him; the views would be amazing, but once again, sacrifices.  Home – North Atlantic Ziplines

I looked into it, read reviews and saw some pics and videos from other people’s trips, and I know I won’t be able to do something like that. The trek to get there alone, with all those stairs: big NO for me. I will live vicariously through my hubby’s experience of it and the videos he brings back for me to see. I do it now with all the pics and videos other people post of this awesome Province, like Newfound Drone Productions, Mark Royle, and Darren Freeman. I am okay with that. I greatly enjoy and appreciate all I can do!

Isn’t that what life is all about? Enjoying it and having fun in anything you do, big and small? I have learned to appreciate it all and live in the moment! Living has become a lot easier that way.
