Hello Friday!! What a month February has been…so much going on here in Canada and Newfoundland & Labrador (NL).
Recovery from the Flu
I am doing much better and am recovering from having a terrible flu the past few weeks. I feel like I missed February this year while living in a daze… Thankfully though my head is clearer and my energy is returning. My head is clear enough to write this post…
I want to go out!! I realized yesterday that I haven’t been down by the Harbour in a couple of months, and that is not good. The HarbourFront has always been a special place for me, a spot where I can unwind and reconnect with nature. I miss sitting by the Ocean, feeling its pull, and listening to the soothing sound of the waves crashing. There’s something incredibly calming about being near the water, and it’s a feeling I’ve been longing for.
I plan on going down tomorrow, and I can hardly wait! It will be a refreshing change of scenery and a much-needed escape from the confines of my home. I’ve missed quite a bit while I was sick, and I’m eager to soak in the beauty of the Harbour once again. Whether it’s watching the boats sail by, feeling the gentle breeze on my face, or simply enjoying the vibrant atmosphere, I know that being by the Ocean will rejuvenate my spirit.
Buy Canadian
I woke up to a movement of “Buy Canadian” and I must say, the movement is very strong here in NL. We have a wonderful local market, including produce, meat, dairy, and everything in between. I am only a few minutes walk from the local weekend Farmer’s Market!
You can even buy hand-crafted items here that you can’t find anywhere else in the World, created by locals. I have a few things myself! I buy local as much as I can and will continue to do so. Made in CA | Canadians, spend your money wisely.
Canada is determined to defend our Sovereignty and I have no doubt we will succeed. I have no fear of becoming the “51st State” and I don’t take those threats seriously. Trump wants what Canada has, just as he wants what other Countries have and is using these threats, especially economic, as a way to throw us off balance. They are empty threats, just as so many threats I got from the previous Tenants over the past 8 years.
The United States & Donald Trump
I am fully in agreement that we need to move away from the United States and become more self-sufficient. To me, there is no more going back to thinking that we are “friendly” with the Americans with Trump at the helm, as they have shown us they are not. I have seen these patterns of behaviours before…
I watched so many people believe the lies being spread about Canada in the news. Watching the news reports in recent days and seeing the chaos being created all around the world by Donald Trump’s behaviour has been scary. I don’t know where it will lead, but I do know the World has changed forever. No one will look at the United States government the same ever again, and to think they have access to all those weapons?
Writing about Donald Trump, whom the toxic tenants align my name with on stellareddy.com claiming I support that idiot, is not easy for me but I feel the need to correct anyone wondering about it. I do not support Trump.
Honestly, I never had any reason to and never really followed politics, let alone American politics. The only reason Donald Trump, or any American, was brought up in those domains that contained my name, was to attract readers.
KR & AR knew that using these names, people would check out the content to see why, and they use the name in all their sites for that same reason. I see a lot of similarities between their behaviours.
Politics For Me
I was never much into Politics and I see no reason to change that. I follow enough to know what is going on that directly affects my life, but other than that, I don’t pay attention. So I will continue to ignore Trump as I have in the past.
I will do my part to support this beautiful Country I live in. I feel very lucky in that if prices do go up because of Tariffs, we can afford it. I’ve had to adjust our budget for higher costs of heat and lights this year, I can adjust for higher costs of food. It will work itself out, it always does. Thankfully, I don’t need to worry about our budget getting out of hand. Hubby and I will be okay as we will make it work.
If you want to see Canadian strength, listen to this song!

Hello March!
I am very much looking forward to March. The gratitude I feel for living in such an incredible Province is truly overwhelming. The breathtaking scenery that surrounds me is nothing short of amazing, with its lush landscapes and vibrant natural beauty that inspire a deep appreciation for the world around me. I am eager to watch Mother Nature wake up!
Each day, I find joy in the little things—whether it’s the gentle rustle of leaves in the wind, the stunning sunsets that paint the sky, or the serene moments spent in nature.
Moreover, the peace I have discovered within myself is profound. Despite the challenges I face, including some online criticisms that attempt to tear my character apart, I have managed to cultivate a sense of inner tranquility. This peace is a testament to my resilience and the strength I draw from my surroundings. I have learned to focus on the positive aspects of my life and the support I receive from those who truly matter.
Living in this beautiful Province has not only provided me with a picturesque environment but has also allowed me to grow emotionally and spiritually. I am grateful for the opportunities to connect with nature, reflect on my experiences, and embrace the journey ahead. As March approaches, I am filled with hope and excitement for what lies ahead, knowing that my gratitude and peace will continue to guide me through any adversity.
Are you looking forward to March?
