I must say, the past couple of weeks have been absolutely extraordinary! I will bid farewell today to the last of my family members who came for the Wedding last week. It has been awesome to see them!
I still get teary-eyed thinking my oldest son got married! It was a beautiful ceremony and fun reception, and there was so much love and support for the 2 of them, I was honoured to be a part of it. I know they will be very happy together, as you can tell.
For the past couple of weeks, I’ve taken on the role of a passionate Tourist Guide, eager to show off the vibrant and captivating City that I love so much. Each day has been an exciting adventure, filled with captivating sights, fascinating stories, and unforgettable experiences. We have built memories!
From exhilarating Boat Tours at O’Briens in Bay Bulls to delightful Bus Tours of the Hop On Hop Off, and captivating strolls, I have immersed myself in the boundless beauty that surrounds me. With every step, I have cherished the opportunity to showcase the awe-inspiring natural splendour that graces this Island to my family.
Newfoundland and Labrador, located on the eastern coast of Canada, is a place that exudes natural beauty and cultural charm. With its rugged landscapes, quaint coastal villages, and friendly locals, it is truly a destination like no other and is where I call home!
One of the defining features of Newfoundland and Labrador is its stunning coastline. From towering cliffs that plunge into the Atlantic Ocean to picturesque sandy beaches, the coastal scenery here is simply breathtaking. It has played a big part in my mental health healing, being surrounded by such beauty!
Not only is this province known for its natural wonders, but it also boasts a rich cultural heritage. Newfoundland and Labrador is home to a vibrant arts scene, with talented musicians, artists, and performers showcasing their talents in various festivals and events throughout the year. Don’t miss the lively and infectious sounds of traditional Newfoundland music, filled with lively jigs and heartfelt ballads that capture the spirit of the people.
Speaking of the people, Newfoundlanders and Labradorians are famous for their warmth and hospitality. You’ll often find yourself engaged in friendly conversations and welcomed with open arms in the local communities. Whether it’s sharing stories over a mug of hot tea or joining in on a lively kitchen party, the locals will make you feel like a part of their extended family.

It will take some time for me to post all the pictures and videos I have taken over this time but I will eventually get them all online so you can see the wonders I get to see every day! Cape Spear is one of my favourite places!!
Standing on the cliffside, looking out at the Atlantic Ocean, makes you realize what is important in life.
I am sad I missed the 2 Cruise Ships that came in yesterday but I was in Brigus, NL, with my sister and a family friend, enjoying the day by the Ocean. We sat on the balcony of a fantastic restaurant and had a leisurely late lunch, chatting and catching up. It was a great way to end my sister’s visit!
I feel a bittersweet tinge of sadness as this wonderful time comes to a close. It’s been an incredible journey, filled with ups and downs, laughter and tears, milestones and challenges. But amidst it all, my heart is brimming with gratitude for the joy this experience has brought. I am very grateful I was here, in body, mind, and soul to take it all in!
From the very beginning, there was a sense of anticipation, a spark of excitement that filled the air. Each day was like a new chapter in a book, waiting to be written. I poured my heart and soul into every word, seeking to create something meaningful, something that would touch the hearts of those who read it.
And now, as the final page turns, I can’t help but reflect on all the memories we’ve made together. It’s been a rollercoaster ride, but one that I wouldn’t trade for anything.
As I sign off, I leave you with this final thought: embrace the bittersweetness of endings, for they pave the way for new beginnings. Farewell, until we meet again! I know there are more adventures waiting for me!
