I am sharing with you this morning a great post I found on Smear Campaigns that I found very interesting. One of the most important tips from this article is to be yourself and to know that in time, the truth will be exposed over the many lies and false allegations being told in the Smear Campaign against you online. I came to see this for myself in my own case.
I didn’t have all this knowledge when all this started in 2016. It wasn’t until 2018 when I got into counselling, did I start learning about all of this. Better late than never, I say!
It was my own Psych Doctor who told me about narcissism after reading the 107-page “Statement of Facts” I had received as part of the HRTO applications against me. It was the start of my education. With the help of others over the past few years, I came to see these tactics in action in the Smear Campaign against me. All it takes is reading the Toxic Tenants’ words to see all of this for yourself!
The key is understanding how a narcissist operates and the reasons behind their behavior.
Every article I have ever read has said that the above, key is understanding how a toxic narcissistic person operates and the reasons you know that are behind it.
Understanding the many traits I was seeing with gaslighting, triangulation, manipulations, and false allegations was my way out of this mess. Once I started recognizing the things I was learning about, and saw them in action in my own life and in the lives of others, did I start to understand.
I saw these traits in the Toxic Tenant’s actions and words. They made false accusations, and spread rumours around the property, on Social Media, and on their own domains that they created, trying to manipulate other people’s opinions about me and others
These are common tactics research has shown that Narcissistic people employ against their targets. I am not the only Target of nasty people like this and I am sure I won’t be the last. Do a search on Smear Campagns and see how many hits you get, as it is quite a few! It was disheartening, but the word is getting out there!
Knowledge is power, as the more you know, the better decisions you can make. I set out to learn all I could, just so I could make better decisions for myself.
All of these tactics are on display in all the documents I have from them, as well as all the content of their domains. The newest changes to their domain content, copied below, show these traits as well. Saying I am “crazy” is a classic response from a narcissist to try and discredit anything I have to say I have learned.
I do trust my instincts and they are all screaming that these past Tenants were Adult Bullies with narcissistic traits who created a smear campaign in my name, trying to blame me for the eviction their own actions caused. They broke the rules of entry and are attempting to blame me for doing that.
They started in August 2016 and 7 years later, they are still trying. Nothing screams narcissism to me more than that! “They do this to ensure their need to be right and have their “truth” become the prevailing narrative while keeping their status and standing intact.“
Thankfully, I see their Smear Campaign is backfiring on them after all this time. Their attempts to damage my reputation have become too obvious and their many lies have been disproven by facts and clear evidence. People are recognizing the true nature of KR & AR and have disassociated from them. They have lost their support and they are being ignored.
This is why they spoke of leaving Canada and moving to Dominica where their daughter is in Medical School which they shared on stellareddy.com in the past.
No one from the property talks to them now, the Tribunals of Ontario won’t accept applications from them anymore, and Police Services know their true nature now and are watching their online antics with their many websites made against others, people and businesses. Even their own domain providers and hosting companies know of my complaints against their actions in my name, as well as all internet service providers like SEO, Jetpack, LinkedIn, and various social media. I have ensured to notify anyone I could think of that anyone signing up for their services in my name, is committing Fraud.
Can a smear campaign backfire?
Yes, a smear campaign can backfire. If the narcissist’s attempts to damage your reputation are too obvious or their lies are easily disproven, they may damage their credibility.
People may recognize the true nature of the narcissist and begin to disassociate from them, leaving the narcissist isolated and unsupported.
I do hope that no one else gets caught up in the smear campaign against them as I did in the early days, but if you do, you can still get better and recover, it just might take a bit longer, as it did for me. Even if you have no Narcissists in your life, it is still good to learn about them, as they are everywhere these days.
Thankfully, there is more information out there to help you get over it than there was when I started. Education is the key to your recovery!!

A smear campaign can take many forms, such as persistently speaking poorly of you, turning friends against you, or bullying you online.
You might feel overwhelmed and helpless, wondering what you can do to counter these attacks.
The key is understanding how a narcissist operates and the reasons behind their behavior.
Narcissists are driven by an intense need for validation, admiration, and power. A smear campaign allows them to discredit, devalue, and ultimately destroy your credibility, protecting their own ego while further asserting dominance over you.
By recognizing the signs of a narcissist smear campaign and preparing yourself mentally, you can better protect yourself from their toxic influence.
Understanding Narcissist Smear Campaigns
Narcissist smear campaigns are a form of psychological manipulation and abuse used by narcissists to discredit, devalue, and ultimately destroy an individual’s reputation.
It often involves spreading lies or rumors about you to damage your standing in social or professional circles.
In a smear campaign, a narcissist will persistently speak poorly of you, possibly bully you online or even turn your friends against you.
They do this to ensure their need to be right and have their “truth” become the prevailing narrative while keeping their status and standing intact.
As you encounter a smear campaign, it’s essential to recognize the signs and understand how it might impact you.
Typically, this manipulative behavior includes malicious gossip, rumor-mongering, and false accusations designed to undermine your credibility or public standing.
You might wonder why narcissists engage in smear campaigns. The reason is that it’s part of the devaluing stage in narcissistic abuse and one of the more escalated behaviors they exhibit.
It could be seen as the opposite of a full discard or abandonment when a narcissist simply disappears and searches for other or new sources of attention and supply.
Facing a narcissist’s smear campaign can be extremely challenging, but there are ways to respond. Remember, it’s crucial to avoid discussing any lies or rumors a narcissist spreads about you.
Stay focused on maintaining your integrity and composure in the face of any false accusations, and try not to let their actions control your emotions or your sense of self-worth.
Role of Fear and Control
A key aspect of narcissist smear campaigns is the role of fear and control. By spreading malicious gossip, the narcissist seeks to instill fear in you, the target.
This fear then gives them a sense of power and control over their life.
They might try to make you doubt your own worth, abilities, or even reality. As you become increasingly uneasy, they further consolidate their control.
One common tactic that narcissists use to control their victims is isolation. When they manipulate others into believing their fabricated stories, it becomes difficult for you to find support from friends, family, or colleagues.
You might feel increasingly alone and vulnerable, which in turn, makes it easier for the narcissist to exert their influence over you.
Remember, the smear campaign is an intentional strategy to destabilize you emotionally. The more control the narcissist feels they have over you through fear, the less likely you are to challenge their narrative.
This allows them to maintain a sense of superiority and keeps them in a vulnerable position.
It’s essential to recognize these patterns and focus on rebuilding your self-esteem, forming healthy relationships, and developing coping strategies to deal with the negative emotions that may arise.
By doing so, you’ll be able to rise above the smear campaign and find your way back to a sense of self-assuredness and well-being.
Importance of Credibility to a Narcissist
Credibility is extremely important to a narcissist. It’s one of the main reasons why they engage in smear campaigns, as they can destroy your reputation and maintain their own at the same time.
They maintain their sense of self-worth and power by devaluing you and painting themselves in a positive light.
One of their tactics is projection. Narcissists project their own actions and emotions onto you as a way to protect themselves from criticism.
By accusing you of doing exactly what they are doing, they can evade responsibility while making you look bad in the process.
To protect your credibility, you need to be cautious of their manipulation tactics. Here are a few tips:
- Be aware of their behavior patterns: Understand what triggers their need to engage in a smear campaign and be prepared for when they may strike next.
- Document their actions: Keep records of any conversations or incidents with the narcissist in case they try to twist the truth later on.
- Establish boundaries: Clearly communicate what behavior is unacceptable and do not hesitate to enforce consequences for any violations.
Remember, while it can be challenging to deal with a narcissist’s smear campaign, it’s essential to stay focused on your own well-being and credibility.
By staying true to yourself and understanding their tactics, you can weather the storm and come out stronger on the other side.
Abuse Tactics of Narcissists
Narcissists often engage in manipulation tactics to maintain control and power in their relationships.
One common method is shame, which can be directed at your self-worth, causing you to question your value.
They may also use tactics such as gaslighting to make you doubt your own perception of reality.
You may experience loneliness in a relationship with a narcissist as they strive to keep you isolated from friends and family. This ensures that you are more dependent on them, making it easier for them to control you.
They can enlist the help of “flying monkeys” or people who take part in the narcissist’s manipulation by supporting their lies and distortions.
During the discard phase of a relationship, the narcissist may abruptly cut off contact with you, leaving you feeling abandoned and confused.
They create a false narrative in which they portray themselves as the victim, while in reality, they are the cause of the relationship’s demise.
This false self-image contributes to their success in manipulating others.
In their efforts to alienate you from your support system, narcissists may spread lies and rumors to harm your reputation. This tactic serves to further isolate you and tighten the narcissist’s control.
With an unstable sense of self-worth, you become more vulnerable to the effects of the narcissist’s abuse.
Remember to maintain a friendly, supportive network, and don’t hesitate to reach out for help when dealing with a narcissist’s smear campaign.
By being aware of the tactics they employ, you can work on protecting yourself and breaking free from their manipulative clutches.
