April 4, 2024 Ramblings…

Can you believe it’s already Wednesday? Time seems to be flying by!

Yesterday after posting, I ventured out for some shopping and was on a mission to find a few items. Of course, I ended up coming home with more than I had planned, as is often the case.

Over the years, my husband and I have had several fish, including the beloved Big Blue Cichlid and a school of Danios. Unfortunately, our recent loss because of a broken heater prompted the purchase of a new one and preparations for some new fish. Fishkeeping is an expensive hobby, but one that brings me great joy and relaxation.

I’ve decided to go with Angel fish and Mollies this time around. It’s always exciting to pick out new additions to our fish family, and I’m looking forward to getting to know their personalities. Even our cat, Hope, enjoys watching the fish in the tank.

Anyone else have a fish tank? With Angel fish? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

In addition to preparing for the new fish, I also found some new cushion covers for my sofa at a local discount store. It was a fun experience browsing through the selection and chatting with fellow shoppers.

Adjusting to life back in Newfoundland, I’ve enjoyed being called terms of endearment like “ducky” once again. It’s the small things that make being back home so special. I missed the special endearments said here!

I’m also gearing up for an upcoming surgery in a couple of weeks, so I’ve been stocking up on self-care supplies. While some details remain private, I’m grateful for the chance to ensure I’m well-prepared for the recovery ahead.

Today is a rest day for me, a chance to recharge and take it easy. Retirement offers a mix of productive days and lazy ones, and I’ve come to embrace the variety.

As I catch up on some reading of others posts and reflecting, I encourage you to reflect on your own week and progress toward your goals, no matter how big or small. This shopping trip was one of my goals this week and I am glad it is accomplished, as I feel more prepared now for what is coming!

Wishing you all a wonderful day ahead!🌞

Live in your lifes moments, as they are gone too soon!
